Hi, I’m Hannah.

My first charcuterie experience was in Italy in 2016. My fascination grew from there and I began making small plates and boards at home for snacking. But “The Charcutie Girl” business was born in early 2021. Covid set my schooling back big time. (I was in school for graphic design at the time.) I knew I wanted to grow beyond my current employment at the time. Valentines was approaching so I decided to see who would buy my ideas for Valentines. I ordered supplies, ran all over town buying supplies and food. I made an example box and posted it to Facebook. I had just over 60 orders and was blown away. I haven’t stopped since! I was able to go full time with this just 5 months later. I’ve only continued to grow in business, skill (wow, looking back on old photos, eek! I’ve come a long way! lol!) I’m now working from my own commercial kitchen and storefront. And the relationships I’ve built along the way, both with other businesses and customers have been some of the greatest blessings along this journey.

My Approach

Taking the work load off of you and creating a beautiful statement piece that is sure to wow your guests! We do the shopping, prepping, and assembly, you claim bragging rights of “hostess with the mostest.”

I am fully licensed, insured, and permitted to do business legally in the state of Indiana. Many don’t know, but charcuterie cannot legally be made and sold from your home. Of course we all start somewhere! But I had to quickly learn and adapt if I was serious about growing this thing into more than a hobby. In Indiana, along with many other states, you must be permitted through the health department and licensed by the state in a commercial kitchen to make and sell charcuterie. I am also required to be Servsafe certified, this is the top level management certification in food handling and food safety understanding. Yes, with this comes a lot more overhead, bills, yearly fees, taxes, etc. But we are big believers in doing things the right way and not taking short cuts even when the grass sometimes looks greener on the other side. That’s how we grow in life, business, and relationships.
